The project is awarded to Fiore Paving Co. in the amount of $206,596.99. The project consists of milling and paving, curb and sidewalk replacement, ADA upgrades, replacement of inlet grates and curb pieces, and site restoration within the Township. Each proposal must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to Berkeley Township, and either a bid bond or a certified check drawn to the order of Township of Berkeley for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required. Proposals will be accepted only from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, the affirmative action requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.
