Sealed bids are invited for the Cambridge Rails to Trails Project, located from Washington St. to Woods Rd. in Dorchester County, Maryland. All proposals must be submitted on the included proposal form, listing the price for each item of work, signed by the bidder, and enclosed in a sealed envelope marked "CAMBRIDGE RAILS TO TRAILS." Proposals deviating from the form or containing unauthorized changes may be rejected. A bid security of at least 5% of the bid amount is required for contracts of $10,000 or more, in the form of a satisfactory bond, bank check, or pledge of U.S. or Maryland State-backed security, made payable to the County Council of Dorchester County, Maryland. The contractor must comply with non-discrimination employment requirements. All work is to conform to the MDOT Corridor Manual. The contractor must observe safety standards as set by the Maryland Department of Labor and Industry. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and select the bid deemed in the best interest of the County based on price, quality, delivery or completion time, bidder responsibility, prior experience, and other relevant factors.
