Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Cambridge, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Cambridge Department of Public Works is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms for design services related to sidewalk improvements along Douglas Street from High Street to Wells Street. Improvements will include a five foot wide sidewalk, curbing, ADA ramps, crosswalks, and associated drainage modifications. Proposals must include all services necessary to prepare a complete set of construction plans for bidding, such as survey work, design, and preparation of detailed construction plans. Preliminary engineering services include a pre-design meeting, site survey, and accurate documentation of existing utilities and structures. Final design services require preparation of detailed final plans and an itemized bid sheet. Affirmative steps must be taken to use small, minority, and women’s businesses as sources of supplies, equipment, construction, and services if subcontracts are let. Proposals will be evaluated based on project understanding, fee, and schedule. All proposals must include the scope of work, a lump sum not-to-exceed fee, and an anticipated project schedule.
