Addition to an educational facility in Scotts Hill, Tennessee. Working plans call for the addition of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Bidders may submit bids for general construction, plumbing/mechanical, electrical, and masonry work for the Scotts Hill Elementary School New Security Connector Addition. Each general and sub-contractor is required to obtain plans and specifications by depositing $300.00 with TLM Associates, Inc., which is refundable to unsuccessful bidders when plans are returned in good condition within 10 days of the bid opening. Successful bidders' deposits will be retained. Bidders must comply with the Tennessee Drug Free Workplace Program by providing a completed affidavit and certified application in a separate envelope attached to the bid envelope; otherwise, the bid will not be opened. A certified check, bank draft, or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the bid must be submitted with each bid. Bidders must be properly licensed according to their trades, and masonry subcontractors must have an "LMC" classification if the portion exceeds $100,000. Performance bonds, labor and material payment bonds, and insurance are required of the successful bidder. All bidders are required to comply with the General Licensing Act of 1976 and related Tennessee statutes.
