Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Genoa, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Proposed improvements consist of micro-surfacing (2 passes), combination concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement, crack sealing, patching, striping, restoration, traffic control, and all other appurtenant work on various local roads within the City of Genoa, DeKalb County, IL, for a project length of 10,430 ft (1.98 MI). The scope includes specific provisions for sidewalk and sub-base reconstruction to meet ADA/PROWAG compliance, installation of detectable warning panels, adjustment of inlets and manholes, restoration of disturbed areas, and compliance with maintenance and traffic control requirements. All quantities are approximate for bid comparison and payment will be for actual work performed according to the contract. The contractor is responsible for site cleanup, disposal of material, maintaining roadways during construction, notifying property owners about access, and adhering to all specified standards and special provisions. Bidders must return all required forms and meet prequalification requirements as specified. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all proposals.
