The work consists generally of the construction of approximately 1.16 miles of resurfacing, including approximately 924 tons of 9.5mm Superpave, approximately 150 tons of skim patching leveling, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete job. All work must be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days of the date of notice to proceed. Bids must be submitted on Bid Proposal Forms furnished for that purpose, in accordance with the Contract Documents and Specifications. Bids must be sealed and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond payable to City of Vidalia for 10 percent of the bid amount, and the successful bidder must furnish the required Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Insurance Certificates. No bids shall be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The City of Vidalia reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals. Question Deadline 02/05/2026 To receive consideration, such questions shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer at least 7 days before the advertised date for receipt of bids. The work under this Contract will be located in Jeff Davis County, Georgia asshown on the Drawings. The Contractor shall commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after notice to proceed and shall diligently prosecute said work so as to complete the entire project and place it in use with 270 consecutive calendar days after notice to proceed. 3. SCOPE OF THE WORK: The work to be done hereunder includes the furnishing of all necessary machinery, equipment, tools, labor and other construction means, and all materials and equipment required to perform all work as set forth and called for by the Plans and Specifications and including the placing of the entire project into satisfactory operation.
