Site work for a mixed-use development in Vidalia, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Design professionals are requested to provide a conceptual tree staking plan that identifies species, whether each plant is evergreen or deciduous, plant spacing, quantity (with a planting schedule), and a minimum proposed size of 2.5" caliper. The design must account for overhead utilities, existing drives, and entrances for aesthetics. If 250 trees exceed the primary area, Ed Smith Park should be included. Install trees in right-of-ways with mulch or pine straw, stake each tree with three stakes, and remove any existing trees hindering the project (coordinate with the city before removing shrubs or trees). Trees on Center Drive are to be placed on the eastern side between sidewalk and curb; on McIntosh, on the western side. Provide a watering solution for four months in areas without irrigation. Proposal pricing must include the total installed design, mulch, removal, watering, and staking. List a separate price for annual maintenance, including pruning and mulch replacement as needed. Proposals must describe qualifications, experience, three to five relevant references, and job history. All design professionals must be appropriately insured. The City's goal is to begin this project prior to July 4, 2026, with work progressing toward final completion on or before July 4, 2026; OR, the City is willing to start the project on July 4th and continue to it's completion.
