Renovation of a museum in Los Angeles, California. Design plans call for the renovation of a 50,000-square-foot museum.

The entrance to the Battleship USS Iowa Museum at the Port of Los Angeles is set for redevelopment under plans adopted by the Board of Harbor Commissioners. The project involves reducing the size of the existing visitor centre by approximately 50 per cent to just over 17,000 square feet, creating space for 50,000 square feet of parkland. The new open space will include public art installations, garden areas, a plaza, event space, a bike share station, and a bus drop-off zone. As of January 12, 2026, this project is in the design phase. A firm timeline for bidding and construction has not been determined.
