This project is for the provision of daily courier services. The scope of work includes daily pickup and delivery services between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at various locations throughout the City, including pickup and delivery of letter mail, parcels, bank deposits, and inter-office mail to City facilities and agencies. Drivers are also required to drop off City documents to Council Member homes every Friday afternoon. The delivery schedule and pickup locations may be altered at the City's discretion, with contract price adjustments for additions or deletions of locations. All courier personnel must have employee ID tags and company identification, and be well presented. The courier is responsible for performing the work with skill and diligence, providing flexibility and emergency response, complying with employment and safety legislation, managing all personnel matters, and ensuring all employees adhere to City Policies and Health and Safety standards. Trained, regular, and backup delivery personnel must be provided, and all delivery items must be handled with utmost care and security. Respondents are required to submit their pricing information electronically, provide information on recent similar contracts, describe staffing and technical training, address security and compliance, and confirm that all personnel will undergo criminal reference checks. Evidence of a valid Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) and annual vehicle safety inspection certificates for all vehicles are required. Proof of insurance and clearance from the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board must be provided if selected. Submissions must comply with all instructions provided in the bidding system.
