Renovation of a swimming pool in Portland, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
The City of Portland is seeking a contractor to replace the outdated, undersized boiler at Sellwood Pool with an efficient system that connects to existing equipment. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for this ITB at Sellwood Pool, 7951 SE 7th Ave, Portland, OR 97202, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on either January 7, 2025 or January 8, 2025. Please direct all questions and concerns to Mark Ariza, Procurement Analyst at Mark.Ariza@portlandoregon.gov. It is the Bidders responsibility to ask questions, request changes or clarifications, or inform the City of Portland, Procurement Services if it believes the language, specifications or requirements of this ITB are ambiguous, contradictory, or have other problems. Unless a different time is provided in the ITB, questions received less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date bids are due may not be answered Clarifications of any provision of the solicitation document are binding only if the City amends the solicitation document by Addendum. Provide new heat exchanger (preference: shell and tube type) Connect new boilers to associated pool equipment. Provide all piping, fittings, valves, and controls required for full functionality. 2.7 Exhaust Venting Provide and install a new exhaust venting system for both boilers that complies with current building and mechanical codes and manufacturer requirements. 2.8 Housekeeping Pads and Anchoring Furnish and install new concrete housekeeping pads for the new boilers. Properly anchor all equipment to meet seismic and building code requirements. 2.9 Startup, Calibration, and Commissioning Perform startup procedures, calibrate system controls, and ensure all components are operating safely and efficiently. Commission the system and confirm full integration with existing pool mechanical systems. Verify that the installed boilers meet or exceed current energy efficiency standards and performance specifications. A bid bond is not required.
