This proposal is for the contractor to remove the existing steel girder bridge with concrete foundations and replace it with a single span precast concrete culvert. The road will be closed during construction and traffic will be detoured. Additional work includes roadway approach construction and permitted stream alterations including placing riprap. Work will not start earlier than September15, 2026 or later than October15, 2026. Work must be completed within 19 working days. Work in the canal channel will not occur while irrigation waters are in the canal channel, anticipated to be between April1, 2026 and October 15, 2026. Once started, work must continuously progress until completion. An administrative penalty equal to the value of a day of Liquidated Damage will be assessed for each day past October 15, 2026 that project field work has not started.
