Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Plattsburgh, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The purpose of this project is to conduct a study that determines the impact of upcoming and future developments on the City's combined sewer system on Rugar Street, and to provide guidance on necessary infrastructure upgrades needed to handle increased waste, particularly identifying limiting segments within the sewershed and potential effects on CSO 007 by SUNY. The scope of work includes: evaluating the Rugar Street sewershed to accommodate current and future sewer flows from the Town of Plattsburgh to the City WRRF (including the Route 3/Broad Street entry that joins Rugar sewershed downstream of CSO 007); identifying limiting sewer segments; evaluating CSO 007 to understand its physical set up, determine the ongoing need for its outfall and regulator, and evaluate the storm sewer surcharge theory; identifying possible corrective actions with associated cost estimates; and performing a preliminary design of any selected action. All work is funded by NBRC and must comply with its requirements.
