Paratransit Facility Facade Repairs Renovation of two buildings' exterior facades that are made up of bricks, concrete masonry units, and concrete. The buildings are fully sprinklered and this renovation will not increase or decrease the occupancy of the building. The buildings are located at 2840 Main Street, Springfield, MA 01107. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Project consists of facade repairs to two existing masonry and concrete buildings. 2. More specifically, repairs include replacing damaged brick, CMU, cutting and pointing, and replacement of window lintels and flashings where indicated on the drawings. Cutting and pointing occurs throughout the building, but the upper elevations include extensive work. 3. At the Bus Maintenance Building, the scope also includes rebuilding the upper 4' of the brick chimney and concrete repairs at the ramp. 4. At the Bus Wash and Storage Building, the scope includes extensive work to the west facade along I-91. This includes cutting and pointing damaged joints and coating the entire elevation with an elastomeric waterproofing. At the bus wash wing, the scope includes epoxy injection of cracks. 5. Alternates: An alternate price is requested for the following: At the bus wash and storage building-Add coating of CMU on east elevations. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a MGL Chapter 149 lump sum single prime contract. Prime contractor to be certified in masonry and waterproofing and caulking. A filed subbid is requested for painting, including the Main Street windows and doors located throughout both buildings.
