The Town of West Hartford seeks proposals for a park plan for John F. Kennedy Memorial Park. The project includes assessing current conditions and amenities, conducting community outreach, developing a concept plan, and preparing cost estimates for various components. Upgrades already accomplished include new irrigation systems for the soccer and baseball fields, new post-tension concrete basketball courts, and a renovated pool house. Elements that require attention are new playscapes, a new splash pad, and improved parking. Consideration should also be given to an interior drive and walking trails to improve safety and accessibility. Scope of services: 1. Site Assessment: Establish project goals, identify stakeholders, conduct site visit, and gather information on existing park amenities and challenges. Summarize the site assessment with a narrative description or report, maps, photos, or other means. 2. Community Outreach: Provide details on a community engagement plan to inform the development of a Conceptual Park Plan. This may include public meetings, community surveys, or public information materials or methods, such as social media or a website, to keep the community updated on the project's progress.
