The scope of work includes but is not limited to; furnishing and installing approximately two thousand six hundred and seventy-five (2,687) lineal feet of 16" CL 250 water main, and fifty (48) lineal feet of 8" CL 235 water main. In addition, two (2) fire hydrant installations and three (3) new irrigation water services and transfers will be performed as part of this project. The work will be conducted in the vicinity of S. Sunnyside Avenue between E. Church Avenue and E. Jensen Avenue. All proposals must be made on the Bid Proposal Form provided by the Purchasing Manager. A Bid Deposit, which can be provided separately, in the amount of TEN PERCENT (10%) of the Total Net Bid Amount (or, in bids with Add Alternates, the highest possible combination of the Base Bid plus Add Alternates) in the form of a certified or cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit, or a certificate of deposit or a bidder's bond executed by a corporate surety, admitted by the California Insurance Commissioner to do business in California, payable and acceptable to the City of Fresno; or the Bidder shall have registered with the Purchasing Manager of the City an annual bid bond sufficient to provide coverage in such amount. All Bid Deposits will be held until a Contract has been executed with the successful Bidder or all bids have been rejected. Copies of Bid Deposits may be submitted electronically, with the exception of a certified or cashier's check, which must be brought to the Purchasing Manager's office and labeled accordingly with bid number prior to the bid opening.
