Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,600-square-foot educational facility; and for the addition of a 200-square-foot educational facility.
Pending Board Meeting on 02/10/26 Sealed bids are invited for Main Office Security Vestibule Renovations at Clara Barton Elementary School and Main Office Security Vestibule Addition and Renovations at Kingston Elementary School. Bidders must submit a Lump Sum Bid for all work and materials, and be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) with the required classification. Prime Subcontractors must also be pre-qualified for the work they will perform or subcontract. Both Bidders and Prime Subcontractors must be pre-qualified and registered under the Public Works Contractor Registration Act at the time of the bid. Bid documents may be obtained electronically. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for 10% of the Base Bid, not exceeding $20,000, and must include a surety certificate. Bids must comply with New Jersey laws on prequalification, prevailing wage rates, use of domestic materials, and ownership disclosure. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids or waive minor informalities. Withdrawal of bids is not permitted for 60 days after the opening date. Copies of DPMC prequalification, Public Works Contractor Registration, and business registrations for Bidders and named Prime Subcontractors are requested in the Bid Package, with proof required by contract award. Bidders must also comply with equal opportunity and affirmative action regulations. The Project consists of Security Vestibule and Main Office Renovations at Clara Barton Elementary School, 223 Rhode Island Avenue, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08002 and Security Vestibule and Main Office Addition and Renovations at Kingston Elementary School, 320 Kingston Road, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08034 All dumpsters or storage containers placed on existing concrete or asphalt paving must be placed on 5/8 plywood sheathing to protect paving. 1. Clara Barton Elementary School: a. The Work at the existing Main Office and other adjacent spaces consists of the abatement of all asbestos containing materials throughout the existing space, the demolition of the ceilings, walls, and mechanical and electrical components. The renovations shall include the reconfiguration of the Main Office and other adjacent spaces (approximately 1,500 SF). Provide new metal stud/GWB partitions, masonry wall infills, new gypsum board furring on existing walls throughout, new flooring, ceilings, new HVAC and Electrical systems, a new security vestibule with a pass-thru transaction window, new interior and exterior storefront systems including a new Main entrance canopy and sidewalks and curbing. Refer to the Construction Drawings and Specifications for the complete scope of work. 2. Kingston Elementary School: a. The Work at the existing Main Office and other adjacent spaces consists of the abatement of all asbestos containing materials throughout the existing space, the demolition of the ceilings, walls, and mechanical and electrical components. The renovations shall include the reconfiguration of the Main Office and other adjacent spaces (approximately 1,600 SF) and a small addition (approximately 200 SF). Provide new metal stud/GWB partitions, masonry wall infills, new gypsum board furring on existing walls throughout, new flooring, ceilings, new HVAC and Electrical systems, a new security vestibule with a pass-thru transaction window, new interior and exterior storefront systems and modifications to the existing Main entrance including new sidewalks and curbing.
