Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Lake Forest, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The purpose of the RFP is to select a professional engineering firm to provide the City with phase I and phase II design engineering services for the installation of a new ADA compliant sidewalk and crosswalks along Oak Knoll Drive and Old Mill Road in the southwest corner of the City. The new sidewalk will allow children to walk on a continuous sidewalk to the nearby Everett Elementary School. Services will also include a topographic survey, completing an application and submitting the project for a Safe Routes to School Grant, preparing easement documents (if needed), and getting the project on the IDOT letting. Each design phase of the project will require reviews and approvals by IDOT. Additionally, the selected firm will be expected to collaborate with City staff (which may include, but is not limited to, the Public Works Department, Engineering Department, and the Community Development Department), school district staff, HOA members, and City Council Alderpersons. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Request for Proposal for design services is underway. The Committee's selection and recommendation of the selected firm will be subject to the approval of The City of Lake Forest City Council. Any proposals received subsequent to the aforementioned date and time, may be disqualified, and returned to the respondent. The City of Lake Forest reserves the right to reject any and all submissions or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the process.
