Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Oakland, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

The project consists of developing approximately 6.5 acres of new park space at 11500 Tidewater Avenue, Oakland, CA 94601. The work will include construction of asphalt parking, EV charging stations, a nature-themed playground and outdoor classroom with wood play equipment, logs, and boulders; fenced boat storage with an automatic gate; picnic areas; new pathways; new park furniture and recreational amenities; a new pre-fabricated restroom building with four stalls and a mechanical room; as well as new landscape including turf, shrubs, trees, and hydroseeded areas. The project must be fully completed within 315 working days, with 250 working days of worksite access. The estimated construction cost is $9,400,000. Prospective bidders are required to hold a valid California Class A & C-27 contractor's license and to be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. The project is funded in whole or in part by federal funds and is subject to prevailing wage requirements. Bid security, performance and payment bonds, and compliance with specified federal and state requirements are mandatory. Certain specific brands of playground equipment and restroom building are required, and no substitutions will be considered or accepted. Bidders must submit required documentation and forms as described in the instructions to bidders, and must attend a mandatory bidders' conference to be eligible to submit a bid.
