The work includes providing professional construction management services for the Develop Tidewater Area project, which encompasses new parking, playground, landscaping, trails, and park amenities. The services required include pre-mobilization construction contract administration, submittal review, material testing, source inspection, and project closeout. The consultant must supply all necessary construction management personnel and perform all construction management, inspection, project close out, and project acceptance activities required by the District. Proposals must comply with the District's standard professional services agreement with minimal changes. The site may only be visited as part of an optional pre-proposal group visit, and questions about the proposal must be submitted by the specified deadline. The Park District proposes to develop a new park in East Oakland at the northeastern end of the 741- acre Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline (MLK Jr. Shoreline) that is leased from the Port of Oakland and operated by the EBRPD. The project will develop an 8-acre Tidewater Day Use Area, adjacent to the Tidewater Boating Center and will provide new picnic areas, trails, lawns for active and passive recreation, upland habitat areas, shoreline viewing areas, as well as a new nature play area, playground equipment, and space for outdoor education programs. The project will include new restrooms, parking, and a central plaza The construction cost is estimated to be in excess of $10.2 million and take ±250 working days.
