Sealed bids, in triplicate, for the High School Sinking Funds, Lowell Area Schools, will be received until the specified date and time at the provided address. Bids received after this time will neither be considered nor accepted. All proposals received by the deadline will be opened and read publicly at the specified location. Bids may be mailed to the Operations Center and must be received prior to the bid due time and date. Faxed, emailed, or uploaded to Building Connected bids will not be accepted. Each bid must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement completed by the bidder, disclosing any familial relationship between the Owner or any employee of the Bidder and any member of the District’s Board of Education or the Superintendent of the District. A construction pre-bid meeting will be held at Lowell High School. All bidders are encouraged to attend. The Bidding Documents may be examined at the Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. website and various Builders Exchange plan rooms. Bidders submitting a Bid for this Project shall be a reputable, recognized organization with at least five years of successful experience on work of this type and scope, have a license where required, and have ample financial resources for work of this magnitude. Each bid shall be accompanied by good and sufficient bid security or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Bid amount. Bid security may be provided by furnishing a bond from a surety company with an A- or better rating or by certified check. The successful Bidder will be required to secure Performance, Labor, and Material bonds for all contracts exceeding $50,000, from a surety company with a rating of A- or better, for the full amount of the Contract.
