Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lowell, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

The project consists of crushing and shaping existing pavement, removal and stockpiling excess material at the park, fine grading and preparation for new pavement, minor milling, pavement striping, and pavement crack-fill and seal coating. Contractor will need to provide traffic control for entering and exiting the park as well as access control to maintain a closed site for work. Kent County Parks will not provide any access control. The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for an asphalt paving project at Fallasburg Park located at 1124 Fallasburg Park Drive NE, Lowell, MI 49331 The scope of services shall include, but not be limited to, the following requirements: Crushing and shaping existing pavement Removal and stockpiling excess material at the park Fine grading and preparation for new pavement Minor milling Striping Crack-fill and seal coating Contractor shall obtain and pay for all applicable permits and fees prior to construction Each offer over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for 5% of the total amount of the offer. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file a certified dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract. Project work required to be scheduled and completed between August 3rd, 2026 and August 28th, 2026 Kent County reserves the right to determine the response format or not respond, at its sole discretion.
