Sealed bids are invited for the Exterior Painting at Hanford West High School Project for the Hanford Joint Union High School District. The exact scope of work will be provided at the mandatory job walk. Bidders may obtain up to two sets of bidding documents from the Director of Facilities, and additional sets may be purchased. Contract documents are also available for sub-contractors at the cost of reproduction and delivery. Partial sets or individual sheets will not be issued or sold. The anticipated project duration is approximately fifty-four (54) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be sealed and filed at the Owner's Business Office by the specified deadline. Bids must include a bidder's bond or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. Contractors must hold a valid California Class B or C33 license. The successful bidder must furnish a Payment Bond for 100% of the contract price from a satisfactory surety, and proof of property damage and personal injury liability insurance for a combined single limit of at least $2,000,000. Workers compensation insurance is also required. Payment of prevailing wages is mandatory. Each bid must list all subcontractors performing work exceeding 0.5% of the contractor's total bid and specify the work they will perform. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality in any bid.
