The City of Corvallis is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide consultant services in support of the Public Works Capital Projects Engineering Group for the Taylor Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Clearwell 1 Repair. The scope of work includes engineering services associated with the design, bidding, and services during construction for the repair of a facing clearwell at the City's Taylor Water Treatment Plant. Work will include structural site evaluations, plan and specification production, cost estimating, bid document production, and permitting with governing agencies, as well as services during construction and other criteria described within. Proposals must be submitted sealed by the indicated deadline. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit will be held at the project location; those entering the clearwell must provide their own harness, boots, and other required personal protective equipment, while the City will provide a confined space entry tripod and air monitor. Consultant Services Are Estimated to Range From $150,000 to $200,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Email: josh. bjornstedt(ô)corvallisoregon.gov Clearwell 1 Repair Scope Confirm existing Clearwell 1 conditions are consistent with findings in the Technical Memo (Exhibit A) prepared by West Yost in April 2024, referred to hereafter as "technical memo" Site inspections of the clearwell floor, walls and roof will be required. 2.1.2. Identify consistencies or changes from what was reported in the technical memo. Present a repair strategy in a basis of design report. The proposed strategy should consider impacts to water operations during construction, construction costs, longevity of the repair The technical memo cites three options for the roof repair; added roof slab; shotcrete roof slab; and fiber reinforced polymer roof repair. In addition to the roof, the City wants to understand the condition of the walls and floor of the clear well and what, if any, rehabilitation is needed. Engineer the repair strategy agreed upon. Design shall comply with all NSF certifications for water treatment products to ensure material safety, structural integrity and contaminant reduction requirements as defined by NSF/ANSI standards.
