Upgrades, improvement and increase in the capacity of the Assomption wastewater treatment plant. The scope of the project includes the construction of a new pretreatment building, including, renovation of the old building, which will become a workshop and storage facility for equipment maintenance, upgrading the aerated lagoon system, complete replacement of the coagulant dosing and mixing chamber, addition of tertiary treatment, construction of a new building to house the disc filters, instrumentation and control work, building mechanics and electrical work. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded professional consultants for design and construction work monitoring. Preliminary studies and conceptual planning are underway. Preliminary plans are expected to begin in summer 2026. Schedules for further project development are being finalized.
