The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified consultant team to provide Engineering services for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Airfield Lighting Vaults Project. Services may include design and possible construction administration and inspection. This project site is located at 3400 East Sky Harbor Boulevard, Phoenix, AZ 85034. The purpose of this project is to provide engineering services for the replacement of Constant Current Regulators (CCRs) and associated electrical infrastructure within the three airfield lighting vaults at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. This effort will modernize aging electrical systems in the north, center, and south vaults to ensure safe and reliable airport operations. The existing equipment, including lighting regulators, is over 20 years old and has exceeded its useful life. These units are being phased out by the manufacturer, and replacement parts will soon become unavailable, creating a significant risk of equipment failure and disruption to aircraft movement areas. This initiative is critical to enhancing system reliability, improving safety, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Professional Services This project will update electrical systems that are approximately 20 years old or more, including emergency power systems, power distribution, branch circuitry, and communication cabling. The scope includes upgrading regulator communications from legacy serial port cabling to Cat 6, redesigning portions of the existing circuitry to meet current NEC code requirements, improving system layout to streamline maintenance and emergency operations. In addition to potential building modifications to accommodate for new or added improvements. Services may also include construction administration and inspection services. Use of UNIFIER, an Application Service Provider (ASP) web-based project management database, may be required. The following information provides a guideline for utilization. Any questions related to the requirements of UNIFIER should be directed to the Project Manager. The Consultant will be required to maintain all project records in electronic format. The City provides an ASP web-based project management database which the Consultant will be required to utilize in the fulfillment of the contract requirements. The Consultant shall provide a computerized networked office platform with broadband internet connectivity. UNIFIER training will be provided through the City of Phoenix to firms under contract.
