Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY Question Deadline 01/26/2026 Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing, addressed to the Engineer, and to be given consideration The project consists of the removal and replacement of concrete curb, aprons, sidewalk and detectable warning surfaces on the following roads in the Township of Saddle Brook. _ Pine Avenue _ Larch Avenue _ Spruce Avenue _ Maple Avenue Description of Work The work for this project includes, but it not necessarily limited to the following major work items: Remove and replace existing concrete curb and sidewalk, including locations at and around curb ramps as indicated on the plans or directed by the engineer and/or inspector in the field. The contractor shall coordinate grade elevations with a Remington & Vernick Engineer and/or inspector in the field. Existing curb ramps shall be replaced with ADA compliant curb ramps with approved truncated domes. Replacement of concrete driveway aprons as shown on the plans. Replacement of concrete curb as shown on the plans. Full depth pavement restoration in front of replaced curbs and where directed by the Engineer, including DGA and asphalt base course up to the milled surface. Restore all disturbed areas in kind in the same condition or better prior to commencing improvements. This shall include topsoiling, seeding, sodding and fertilizing. The contractor is responsible for the location of all utilities and to schedule all work involved with utilities. Any cost related to this coordination shall be included in the various items in the proposal All related incidental work, including but not limited to, maintenance and protection of traffic, dust control, soil erosion and cleaning and restoration. Contractors will be responsible for on-site safety and shall provide a qualified on-site safety appointee at all time, for the duration the project. Bidders are to obtain bid forms, contracts, and specifications from Remington & Vernick Engineers after arranging for purchase and payment. Bids must be submitted on the designated bid form in sealed envelopes, citing the particular work, and addressed as specified. Each submission must include a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for at least ten percent of the bid (maximum $20,000), along with a certificate letter from a surety company agreeing to provide a completion bond. The award is contingent on the Township securing the necessary funding, and any contract becomes effective only after such funds are provided. The awarding of the contract may also require securing relevant State, Federal, or Local permits. Bidders must comply with Affirmative Action, New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. A Disclosure Statement listing stockholders and business registration proof for the bidder and any named subcontractors must also be submitted. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
