No definite date for the rebid. 2nd Street Bridge Demolition and Replacement The City of Fleming-neon Has Experienced Damage Due to a Flooding Event Occurring in February 2025 (Dr-4860-ky). Scope of Work To Improve Resiliency and Reduce Future Flood Damage at the 2nd Street Crossing in Fleming-neon, Kentucky, 41840, the Applicant Proposes to Replace the Existing Bridge Structure With a Precast Concrete Culvert. Proposed Mitigation Scope of Work 1. Remove Existing Structure 2. The Existing Bridge Will Be Removed to Allow for Installation of the New Culvert System. 3. Install Precast Concrete Box Culvert 4. A Precast Concrete Box Culvert Measuring Approximately 20 Feet Wide By 22 Feet Long by 16 Inches Thick Will Be Installed to Improve Hydraulic Capacity and Structural Durability. 5. Construction Headwalls 6. Two (2) Concrete Headwalls Will Be Installed at the Inlet and Outlet Ends of the Box Culvert to Provide Structural Support and Prevent Erosion. 7. Concrete and Reinforcement Installation 8. Concrete Will Be Placed for Structural Components, and Steel Reinforcement Will Be Installed to Ensure the Culvert Meets Design and Loadbearing Requirements. 9. Install Geotextile Fabric 10. Class 1a Geotextile Fabric Will Be Placed Over Approximately 59 Square Yards to Stabilize the Subgrade and Prevent Soil Migration. 11. Install Rip Rap Protection 12. Cyclopean Stone Rip Rap Will Be Placed Around the Culvert to Protect Against Erosion and Scour During High-water Events. 13. Site Restoration 14. The Disturbed Area Will Be Graded, Compacted, and Restored to Pre-construction Conditions to Ensure Safe Access and Proper Drainage. The City of Fleming-neon is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
