Ray Eames Totem Panels Painting Project - NEW INSTALLATION OF ARTWORK PANELS AT EXISTING GARAGE. Location: 900 Block of O Street, 9th Street and 10th Street, Sacramento, California Question Deadline 01/30/2026 at 2:00 PM PT Questions regarding the bid package and contract should be directed to: Tara Gandara - 916-322-2114 | TGandara@cadanet.org Building Information (must be verified by contractor) 1. Total # horizontal shelves: four (4) on 9th St, four (4) on 10th Street and four (4) on O Street 2. Total # vertical fins: four (4) on 9th St, four (4) on 10th Street and ten (10) on O Street. 1. Secure any necessary encroachment permits from the City of Sacramento, which may requirepreparation of a traffic management plan for 9th St and 10th St and a pedestrian detour plan. 2. Work with the Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA) and the Department of General Services (DGS) to secure a City of Sacramento tree trimming permit as needed. CADA will be the lead. 3. Trim trees only as needed. Visual inspection suggests only two trees need to be trimmed to create clearance for painting. One is on 9th Street. The second is on O Street. Bidders must verify. 4. Secure City parking permits as needed. 5. Secure RT Track Warrant, if required. 1 The zone where the tracks are close to the sidewalk is limited to a small length of the sidewalk at the west end of the 900 block only. To avoid the need for an RT track warrant, we suggest the Contractor use a narrower lift in that location. 6. Set up pedestrian detours. 7. Mobilize for painting prep and painting. 8. Pressure wash the 9 th , 10 th and O Street facades of the building only, and exclude the alley. The Department of General Services requires that pressure washing happen on weekends only. The white painted fins and shelves were tested in October, 2025 and found not to contain lead-based paint. Implement required CAL-OSHA training and procedures when pressure-washing the tanpainted bays, which have been tested and determined to contain lead-containing paint, but at a level that is below the OSHA 1.0 mg/cm2 threshold amount Test results are available upon request .Use the gentlest pressure washer setting possible to pressure wash the tan-colored bays to remove CADA's contractor must obtain a separate Track Warrant Permit from SacRT, prior to each time it enters SacRT's right-of-way or performs work within 10 feet of the track in the public right-of-way. This text will be included in the CADA contract. The State of California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (CAL-OSHA) regulates lead in any quantifiable amount, regardless of lead content. CAL-OSHA utilizes the EPA definitions of lead paint to trigger the notification requirements of the CAL-OSHA standard. Proper training and worker protection procedures are required and must be implemented by the abatement contractor in accordance with State and Federal OSHA standards. The removal of the tan paint on the exterior wall shall be considered lead work. The contractor must submit a Lead-Work Pre-Job Notification to CAL-OSHA. dirt and cobwebs and achieve a basic level of cleanliness. Minimize flaking of paint. Following pressure-washing of the tan-colored areas, Contractor to color match and touch-up paint any sections where flaking happens because of pressure-washing. Apply two coats of primer to vertical surfaces of fins and shelves only. Protect all other surfaces from overspray. The Department of General Services requires that painting occur on weekends only to eliminate the risk of overspray affecting cars parked in the garage. The sides of the fins and the tops and bottoms of the shelves should not be painted. Attend DGS/CADA painting inspection following completion of painting. The Department of General Services requires that painting occur on weekends only to eliminate the risk of overspray affecting cars parked in the garage. Maintain uninterrupted vehicle access into and out of the garage at all times. Completion- (60) calendar days
