Site work for a water / sewer project in Oxford, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of providing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to install a new 277/480v/3-phase electrical service and temporarily re-feed the existing 120/240v/3-phase equipment and circuits. Work includes concrete transformer pads, all necessary grading, erosion control, and other associated appurtenances and miscellaneous work items. All contemplated work is included in the lump sum item "Site Electrical Service Upgrade." Measurement and payment will not be made for individual work items unless a change order is issued. All work and equipment must be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents on file with the City Clerk of the City of Oxford, Iowa. Instructions to bidders include: - The bidder is eligible to receive an exemption from the State of Iowa Sales Tax and must obtain the exemption from the City. State of Iowa Sales Tax should not be included in the bid. - Preference is given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of Iowa. - Bid security in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or a bidder's bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the City, in the amount of 10% of the bid, is required. - Work must commence within ten calendar days after receipt of the written "Notice to Proceed" and be completed by June 30, 2026, subject to extensions granted by the Council. - A performance/payment/maintenance bond for one hundred percent of the bid is required, with a maintenance period of three years from final project acceptance by the Owner. - Monthly estimates will be made for ninety-five percent of the contract value of the work completed, with 5% retainage; remaining retainage will be paid within 30 days after final acceptance by the City. - Bidding documents can be purchased from Hart-Frederick Consultants P.C. for $50 per set (refundable if returned within 14 days after contract award and in re-useable condition). Electronic documents are provided free of charge.
