The City of Durham, North Carolina, Department of Water Management (DWM) is requesting proposals from firms to provide Professional Engineering Services for Easement Acquisition Services for Various Utility Projects. The DWM anticipates utilizing the selected firm to provide easement acquisition services. Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to: o Providing easement acquisition services for two projects below and additional easement acquisition services on an as-needed basis. The following projects are currently identified as needing easement acquisition services: o NC 751 Sewer Outfall Improvements Project o 2021 Improvements for Access to Utility Easements and Facilities Project o Providing easement acquisition services on an as-needed basis upon receipt of request and assignment from the Department or a designated representative. o The major work for the NC 751 Sewer Outfall Improvements Project consists of but is not limited to acquisition of 8 permanent utility easements and 8 temporary construction easements over the course of 8 properties. o The major work for the 2021 Improvements for Access to Utility Easements and Facilities Project consists of but is not limited to acquisition of 11 permanent utility easements and 31 temporary construction easements over the course of 31 properties. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in the best interest of the City. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
