Site work for a water / sewer project in Newton, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work, including approximately 12,500 feet of waterline, bored and cased highway crossings, valves, fittings, tie-ins, and miscellaneous appurtenances. Bids must be submitted with a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance bond and a Payment bond in the amount of the contract for the protection of all claimants supplying labor and materials. The contract is contingent upon release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board. The contract is subject to American Iron and Steel requirements of federal law, Environmental Protection Agency's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program, and the Department of Labor regulations at 41 CFR Part 60-4 including affirmative action requirements. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements apply to contractors and subcontractors performing contracts in excess of $2,000 for construction, alteration, or repair of projects financed, in whole or in part, with assistance from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The City of Newton reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
