A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** TDEM HMGP DR 4572 City of Newton Standby Generators and all associated work A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to CITY OF NEWTON or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Cash currency is not acceptable as bid surety and is not to be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. CITY OF NEWTON reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by CITY OF NEWTON for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Question Deadline 02/10/2026 No oral interpretations will be made to any bidder. Each request for clarification shall be made in writing to the Grant Recipient or engineer no less than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening.
