Renovation of an educational facility in Canton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Generally, the work includes the replacement of existing ballasted EPDM roofing with a new adhered EPDM roofing system at Canton High School. All work is subject to applicable laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America. Bids must include a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding due to violations of certain Illinois laws (Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295). Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid, made payable to the Board of Education. The successful bidder must provide Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost, within ten days after notice of acceptance. Surety must be from a U.S. Treasury Backed company licensed in Illinois and acceptable to the Owner. The Contractor pays the bond premiums. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the opening of bids.
