Sealed proposals are requested for traffic line painting, specifically for approximately 106,818 feet of 2-inch yellow center lines and approximately 92,872 feet of 2-inch white edge lines. Complete specifications are available at the Loyalsock Township Office. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the municipality, and the bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check amounting to 10% of the bid, payable to the municipality. The successful bidder must provide payment and performance bonds or certified checks for 100% of the contract value within 20 days after the contract is awarded. All bid envelopes should be clearly marked "Traffic Line Painting Bid." The Loyalsock Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or to accept proposals deemed in the best interest of the township. Approximately 106,818 feet of 2 yellow centerlines Approximately 92,872 feet of 2 white edgelines Paint must be applied with a machine capable of simultaneously applying 2 four -inch parallel lines and automatically dispensing glass beads onto the painted surface at the required application rate . The machine must be equipped with a measuring device which measuresthe length of the line painted to the nearest foot . Paint shall be Penn DOT Type 2 or equal , applied in a wet film thickness of 15 mils +- 1 mil , except that edge lines may be 12 mils +- 1 mil . Glass beads shall be AASHTO Type 1 or equal and shall be applied at a rate of 6 pounds per gallon of paint. The contractor must include the cost for two (2) mobilizations in the bid price . Painting shall not be done until after July 1, 2026 , or until after the Loyalsock Township Resurfacing Contract has been completed .
