Dakota County is undertaking a major technology upgrade at the Burnhaven Library in Burnsville, Minnesota, with the replacement of the library's Automated Materials Handler (AMH).The project involves the design, fabrication, and installation of a new, fully integrated AMH system following the completion of the library's renovation in January 2027. The new system will include both an external and an internal book drop, each capable of handling multiple returned items simultaneously through mechanical separation ("de-shingling") technology.
