The work consists of installing an 8" water line along County Home Rd to serve the 210 WWTF. Small minority and women's businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. A performance bond will be required for the successful bidder in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract, payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, and payment of all liabilities incurred in connection with the work under this contract. North Carolina law requires any contractor bidding on work in the State which costs $30,000.00 or more to show evidence that they are licensed under the "Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting." No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any part of a bid and to waive formalities and technicalities in the bidding procedure. Bids must be submitted on the printed form, or exact copies thereof, contained in the Contract Documents. Bidders shall make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and comply with GS 143-128.
