Scope of Project The Polk County Public Works Dept. is accepting proposals for the removal and replacement of Boilers, Chillers, Controls and components at the Polk County Justice Center and ADC, Balsam Lake, WI. All replaced components and equipment will be removed and replaced as detailed in this RFP. See the specification section for details. The Polk County Public Works Department is accepting proposals for the removal and replacement of Boilers, Chillers, Controls and components at the Polk County Justice Center and ADC, Balsam Lake, WI. All replaced components and equipment will be removed and replaced as detailed in this RFP. The deadline for vendor questions is Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. CT. Email all questions to Rod Polk, Public Works Division Director at rod.polk@polkcountywi.gov. Polk County reserves the right to decline to respond to any questions if, in Polk County's assessment, the information cannot be obtained and shared with all potential vendors in a timely manner. The target date for the award will be March 31, 2026. Lead times will be discussed at the time of the award for determination of timeframe of the contract. The Polk County Board or its designee reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any proposal which, in their opinion, will be inappropriate to carry out the work under the terms of the contract and to waive any irregularities.
