Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and bridge / tunnel.
1. Pulverize and knock down the existing asphalt on 180th St. between County Rd. I and 170th Ave. The contractor will fine grade the base course and pave with hot mix asphalt to a compacted depth of 2.5". Approximate distance is 2,601' x 22'. 2. Pave 156th Ave. from fire number 1613 in a SW direction for 950' x 18': Fine grade base course to slope away from the lake and pave with hot mix asphalt (HMA) to a compacted depth of 2.5". Add a HMA curb to the south side of road with water drainage to existing culvert on east end and to-ward retention pond on the west end. 3. Double chip seal: 176th St. from 140th St. to town limit (Approx.3 mile). Contractor will perform final grading, com-pact with a roller, apply CRS2-P emulsion oil followed by 3/8" trap rock aggregate for first layer and 1/4" trap rock aggregate for second layer. The town will purchase the ag-gregate from the quarry; the contractor will truck the ag-gregate. 4. Road work prior to double chip seal on 176th St: Add gravel to raise road height for a 2-degree slope away from lake. Re-ditch north side where needed to achieve two-foot depth and restore disturbed area to avoid erosion. Reconstruct the area around the culvert, add a catch basin, replace the ex-isting culvert. Add riprap material around culvert bank.
