The scope of work is specifically for the replacement of windows and storefront glass at the MLK, Jr. Recreation Complex. The City of Fernandina Beach, Florida (City) is requesting sealed competitive bids from qualified contractors for the replacement of windows and storefront glass at the Martin Luther King Jr Recreation Complex located at 1200 Elm St. The work will consist of the replacement of the following: o 3 fixed pane windows located on the east side of the camp room building (Ref picture #1). o 4 fixed pane windows located on the west side of the camp room building (Ref picture #2). o 5 fixed pane windows and 1 horizontal sliding window located on the east side of the administrative building (Ref picture #3 & #4). Window pictured in Ref #4 needs to be replaced with a window that fits the original opening. o 8 fixed pane windows on the west side of the administrative building (Ref picture #5). o 2 fixed pane windows on the north side of the administrative building (Ref pictures #6 and #7). Window pictured in Ref #7 needs to be replaced with a window that fits the original opening. Bid additives will consist of the replacement of storefront glass door and window assemblies as detailed below: o Storefront windows and glass door located on the north side of the administration building (Ref picture #8 and #9) All work will be in accordance with the following specifications: 1. Replacement window glass shall be fixed dual pane, Low-E rating and be produced by a reputable manufacturer. 2. Replacement window glass frames shall be dark bronze in color for both exterior and interior, where break metal trim is used it should be colored to match. 3. Replacement windows shall be a full size of fixed design and be installed in existing openings. 4. Replacement windows shall be sized to fit into existing window openings with 1/4" on all sides unless approved by the City prior to their installation. 5. Replacement window glass shall be installed using Prosoco R-guard liquid flashing and Tremco Dymonic 100 urethane sealants or an equivalent approved by the City. 6. All exterior and interior trim around openings to be repainted where applicable. 7. All door assemblies shall match existing specifications, be commercial grade, and be produced by a reputable manufacturer. 8. All door assemblies shall accept MBS lock sets (provided by the City). . All installation work shall come with a 1-year warranty. 10. Cost shall include permitting, mobilization, project set-up, safety equipment, boom lift, waste disposal, and site clean-up. SAFETY The Contractor shall provide all necessary barricades and signage and take necessary precautions to protect buildings, the general public and Contractor personnel.
