Sealed bids are invited for a single prime contract for Elevator Repair at Peninsula Public Library. Contract documents may be examined at the architect's office or obtained digitally for a non-refundable fee or as hard copies with a deposit. Bids must be submitted by the specified date and will be opened and read aloud at the designated location. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or all proposals may be rejected within 45 days of opening. The School District reserves the right to waive informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, reject any proposals, or advertise for new proposals if deemed in its best interest. Bids cannot be withdrawn within 45 days after opening except in writing prior to the opening date. A. It is the declared intent of the project drawings and these specifications that the contractor shall provide for the complete installation of operational electrical circuits and systems as outlined in the project documents. B. The Electrical Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, transportation, storage, etc., as necessary for, and incidental to, the completion of all electrical work as indicated on the Drawings and in these Specifications. C. Included in the above is all related electrical demolition activities, temporary electrical facilities to support the work, final testing, adjusting training as applicable. D. Before submitting his proposal, the Electrical Contractor shall be fully informed to the extent, character, and intent of the work to be done by him. No consideration will be granted for any misunderstanding of the material to be furnished or work to be performed.
