The Scope of Services (Scope) outlined below has been established for the purpose of achieving and implementing program goals and objectives described in this document. Although the Scope is intended to serve as a reference in the preparation of the proposal, forthcoming proposals may offer additional services which support the goals of these job titles and compensation review and analysis. Examples of additional services may include material testing, sub-surface explorations, specialized bridge engineering, specialized structural engineering, specialized engineering related services, immediate corrective measures, plant inspections, etc. The scope of work involves rehabilitation of the existing concrete culvert (BIN 5520290) on the Nassau Expressway (NY878) over Bannister Creek including repairs to the existing concrete culvert construction joints, abutment walls and top slab; scarifying the top slab and installing a waterproofing membrane; new approach slabs; milling and resurfacing of the asphalt wearing surface; replacement of bridge railing, guide rail, sidewalk, drainage systems; installation of scour protection; and new pavement markings.. This project has an estimated construction cost of $4,500,000.00 Question deadline: 04/07/2026 The Nassau County Department of Public Works is seeking proposals from firms to provide Professional Construction Management and Inspection Services for the Rehabilitation of Bannister Creek Bridge in the Village of Lawrence, Town of Hempstead. Services may include providing one Resident Engineer/Office Engineer, one part time CPM Schedule Reviewer, and one Construction Inspector as needed for managing all construction related activities, contractor claims, and construction related engineering services. The selected firms will be awarded a two-year agreement. Proposals should be submitted after a careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm must provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence. The successful proposer must comply with a 0% DBE goal as per Federal requirements in Title 49 CFR Part 26 and submit a DBE Utilization Plan with the proposal. Vendors must register with Nassau County to submit bids or proposals.
