A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington will receive bids for the CROSS CREEK DEMOLITION PROJECT NO. CD 24-06. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty of at least ten percent of the total bid amount, in accordance with the contract documents. SBE, MBE, WBE, and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to bid. Standard contract provisions of the U.S. Department of HUD Act of 1968, as amended, and the U.S. Department of Labor for CDBG apply, including Federal Prevailing Wage Rates, Civil Rights, EO 11246, EO 11625, Affirmative Action, Section 3 Requirements, Federal Public Works, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, along with all other CDBG Program provisions. Contractors must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Section 3 requires that employment and economic opportunities from HUD-assisted projects be directed to low and very low-income persons, particularly recipients of HUD housing assistance. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities in bidding. Bids may be held for up to forty-five days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications. Contractors must be able to start work within fifteen days of contract execution and complete the work within forty-five consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. No oral interpretation will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the Contract Documents or any part thereof. Every request forsuch an interpretation shall be made in writing to the Local Public Agency. Any inquiry received seven or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of Bids will be given consideration.
