The project includes the labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install concrete sidewalks and install lights. Add Alternate 1 includes removing and relaying existing brick surfaces, Add Alternate 2 involves removing brick surfaces and replacing with stamped concrete, Add Alternate 3 is for resurfacing a concrete wall and installing lighting, and Add Alternate 4 covers installing concrete sidewalks and a crushed stone trail. Proposals must be on the forms furnished by the City Engineer. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price, made payable to City of Washington. The bid envelopes must be clearly marked with the project name. The City of Washington reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals or any portion thereof. Attention is called to the requirements concerning payment of not less than the prevailing wage and salary rate provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442. The awarded bidder shall provide a 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, and 15% Maintenance Bond. Liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $500.00 per calendar day. Bids may be held by the City of Washington for up to sixty (60) days for bid review and qualification purposes before awarding the contract.
