Site work and new construction of a residential development in Jefferson City, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the construction of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
It will be the responsibility of the contractor to meet the requirements of the International Building Code and all other applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances that apply to the jurisdiction where the work is being performed during all phases of construction. Upon submittal of his / her first bid the contractor agrees to having received, reviewed, and accepts the terms of the programs Instructions to Bidders and the Description of Work to Be Done. The contractor will obtain all necessary permits and schedule all inspections required by all laws, regulations, or public authority having jurisdiction. The Contractor will obtain certificates of such inspections and shall submit same to the rehabilitation housing inspector before final payment is made and shall pay all fees, charges, and other expenses in connection therewith. Any Substitutions the contractor wishes to use shall be submitted in writing with documentation showing the proposed product is equal to the product currently specified. All requests for substitutions must be submitted 14 days prior to the bid opening at which time the administrator will accept or reject within seven days of receipt. Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity (JCHFH) invites sealed bids for the construction of up to 2 affordable homes over the next year in Jefferson County, TN, utilizing two home plans available for bidding: the Everett 1200 sqft 3- bdrm 2-bath, and the Julia II 1313 sqft 4-bdrm 2-bath. The successful bidder will be required to execute all necessary documents to qualify as an approved bidder/contractor with Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity (JCHFH). Work shall commence on the date specified in the contract documents, with adequate labor and equipment provided, and shall be completed within the time period prescribed by the contract. Funding for this project may be provided in part through a HOME program grant from THDA, along with JCHFH agency funds. JCHFH reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
