Furnish all labor, tools, and materials for construction as stated within the bid specifications and construction drawings for the McMinn County High School and McMinn Central High School Storage Buildings. Bidders must be licensed general contractors in compliance with Tennessee Code Annotated 62-6-et. seq. The license holder must be identified on the bid envelope along with the License Number, License Expiration date, License Limitation, Classification, Name of the Project, Date of the Bid Opening, and the Opening Time. Major subcontractors (Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical) must also be listed by Name and License Number, License Limitation, and Classification on the bid envelope. All bids must be submitted in one sealed envelope. If the submitted bid exceeds $50,000.00, the successful bidder will be required to provide a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Lump Sum Bid Price, a Performance Bond for 100% and Payment Bond for 100% of the bid price. Bond may be in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, construction surety bond, or irrevocable letter of credit. Bidders will be required to submit a Drug Free Workplace Affidavit, an Iran Divestment Act Affidavit, and a Certificate of Compliance with Tennessee Public Chapter 587. All contractors and subcontractors must sign a Title VI Contract Assurance Form. All bidders must comply with the insurance and other requirements listed in the Contract Documents. No bidder will be permitted to withdraw his bid for ninety (90) days following the opening.
