Site work and paving for a road / highway in Wheeling, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Sealed bids are invited for the CDBG Street Reconstruction of Grandview St and part of 12th St. Bidding documents can be examined at the Ohio Valley Construction Employers Council in Wheeling, WV, and at the Office of the City Engineer, City-County Building, Wheeling, WV. Documents are available upon a non-refundable payment of $25.00 per set from the Office of the City Engineer. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids. Each bidder must submit security with their bid, in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. Contractors must be licensed according to the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act at the time of the bid. The contract is subject to equal opportunity requirements, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, and Davis-Bacon Act wage rates. Small businesses, minority businesses, women's business enterprises, veteran-owned businesses, and labor surplus area firms should be considered, as per federal procurement regulations. his project will consist of resurfacing various streets with a 2-inch HLBC wearing course. This contract also includes roto-milling all streets prior to paving, placing tack coat on all surfaces prior to paving, adjusting manholes and water valve box covers, cutting paving notches with a bobcat with a planer attachment and, if indicated, paving markings.
