Site work and paving for a road / highway in Auburn, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The design contract will encompass comprehensive project management and full civil design services, including roadway, storm, water, and sewer utility plans, specifications, and estimates with design documentation and justification. The City will provide a survey basemap that includes topographic, monument/control, utility, and right-of-way information. The Consultant will prepare contract plans, specifications, and estimates at the 15%, 60%, 90%, and final review milestones, as well as "over-the-shoulder" reviews between the 30% and 90% submittals. Optional services may include bidding and construction assistance and preparation of a Construction Stormwater General Permit application. Each proposal is limited to a maximum of 10 numbered letter-sized pages of content (excluding only the cover and any dividers) (minimum font size 10 Arial) and should address each of the following criteria: Project Team Qualifications, Important Issues, Lessons Learned, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, Project Schedule Management, Revisions to Draft Scope of Work/Consultant Agreement Template, and Familiarity with City of Auburn Standards. Following evaluation, the City may interview up to 3 prospective consultants. Those selected for interview may introduce their team, present past experience, and explain their overall project approach to design. Modifications to the City's consultant agreement template are generally discouraged. The City of Auburn reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals and to waive irregularities and informalities in the submittal and evaluation process. The solicitation for Consultant Services does not obligate the City of Auburn to pay any costs incurred by respondents in the preparation and submission of a Proposal or to accept or contract for any expressed or implied services. The City of Auburn also reserves the right to award the contract to the next most qualified Consultant if the selected Consultant does not execute a contract within thirty days after the award of the proposal. Disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
