Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Auburn, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The major items of work include the demolition of the existing building and drive thru, construction of a new parking lot, replacement of sidewalk and curb ramps along 1st St NE and Auburn Avenue, storm drainage and sewer lines including new manholes and catch basins, and pavement reconstruction in the alley. The entire project, including clean-up, shall be physically completed within 35 working days. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or proposal bond (surety bond) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid proposal. If the successful bidder fails to enter into the contract and furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the specified time, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City. Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond. The City does not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, or handicap in consideration for the project award. Bidders are encouraged to register in the online plan room to receive notifications and access documents. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities or irregularities, and to accept any bid if it is in the best interest of the City.
