Demolition, site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Peru, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.
The project consists of the replacement of an existing culvert located near the northern end of Lyons Road in the Town of Peru, Clinton County, NY. The culvert conveys the Silver Stream from west to east. The existing culvert consists of one 84" diameter corrugated metal pipe, running approximately 44 linear feet, and will be replaced with a 17'-0" x 8'-6" pre-cast concrete box culvert, embedded 21" into the streambed on the upstream side and 18" on the downstream side, providing a 17'-0" x 6'-9" minimum open clear area. The material costs of the new culvert structure, including wingwalls and delivery to the site, are by others and are not to be included in the bid. Bid prices shall include signage and traffic control for the project site and detours, brush clearing and stump removal, demolition and removal of existing structures including pavement, culverts, and wingwalls, temporary bypasses of the streams, preparation of the culvert/wingwall bedding and subbase materials, offloading and installation of new box culverts and wingwalls, paving, replacement of any utilities, and restoration of the site. Bids must be submitted under seal and include a 5% bid bond. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formality or technicalities in the bids.
