Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Saint Marys, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Sealed bids will be accepted for the construction of the Palmer St. Bridge Replacement in St. Mary's, KS. The project generally consists of a 30-foot precast concrete slab span on steel abutments, asphalt pavement, seeding, and traffic control. Principal items of work include precast reinforced concrete bridge slabs, structural steel, piles (HP10x42), corrugated metal sheet pile, slope protection (riprap, 100 lb), HMA-commercial grade (Class A), aggregate base (AB-3, 6"), seeding and erosion control, and traffic control. Bids are to be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum and unit price basis. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the instructions to bidders. Bidding documents may be examined by appointment at designated locations or online through registration with the issuing office. Costs for bidding documents and shipping are non-refundable. Partial sets of bidding documents are not available. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Project Engineer brady.hedstrom@bgcons.com, Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
